During the lockdown, Davines France launched a #click&collect campaign to encourage purchasing Davines products from local affiliated hair salons. Government restrictions kept salons closed throughout the winter but allowed the sale of hair care products directly to local customers.
The campaign was divided into two phases:
The first phase involved supporting affiliated salons through a dedicated media kit.
The second phase engaged content creators and influencers to promote the “Davines Advent Calendar.”
During the Christmas period, several portraits were created and shared on social media to remind customers they could support local salons—still closed due to lockdown—by purchasing gift sets.
The Brief:
"For Davine's advent calendar, we need to create a series of portraits of some content creators involved in the initiative. We cannot produce the photos ourselves. Are you able to collect and draw them independently?"
Portraiture is always a delicate subject.

It touches on personal perception and identity, so I wanted to make sure the content creators involved felt comfortable and represented with care. To build trust and collaboration, I began by introducing myself and clearly explaining my method.
In some cases, I worked from reference photos taken on mobile phones or shared as screenshots, so establishing a dialogue was essential to bring out the best in each portrait.

Color Test
This is an alternate version. The final color choice—beige—was selected to reflect the content creator’s request for greater harmony between her own aesthetic and Davines’ visual identity.
The real challenge was to evoke a Christmas atmosphere without relying on traditional holiday colors like red and green.
Once the portraits were finalized, Davines included them in a media kit to launch the advent calendar.
The influencers then shared the images both on their feeds and in their Instagram stories.
