FilmmakHER 2024 – Portraits of Female Directors
In 2024, I participated in the second edition of FilmmakHER, a project promoted by 24FPS to highlight the work of women in cinema through a dialogue between illustration and visual storytelling.
Eight Italian illustrators were invited to portray 24 directors—both pioneers and contemporary voices—who have shaped a century of cultural and cinematic revolutions.
For this project, I created three illustrated portraits that reinterpret the visual identity of three filmmakers. The work involved iconographic research, stylistic interpretation, and reflection on the female gaze behind the camera.
The project was exhibited at CUBO – Contenitore Creativo in Parma, accompanied by cultural events and a curated film selection in collaboration with MUBI.
